Paul Nash and Denise La Neve host this series, now in its eleventh year. The readings, which feature both poetry and music, will continue to be held on the fourth Friday of each month at Il Trapezio Cafe, 120 Franklin Avenue in Nutley, N.J.
The series includes an Open Mic between the two sets.
Brant Lyon and John J. Trause
JOHN J. TRAUSE is the Director of the Wood-Ridge Memorial Library in Wood-Ridge, NJ (since 2000), and has been writing and reciting his poetry for more than 25 years. Trause has been an active part of the NYC art scene as well as an avid devotee of avant-garde public raucousness. Trause’s recent chapbook of poetry, SERIOUSLY SERIAL, is published by Poets Wear Prada, Hoboken, N.J.
BRANT LYON has been published in Rattle, Lullwater Review, Medicinal Purposes, BigCityLit, and other journals. His work has been included in The Company We Keep (Poet Warrior 2003), and Cautionary Tale: Seven New York Performing Poets (Uphook 2008). His latest chapbook is Your Infidel Eyes (Poets Wear Prada 2006). His poemusic CD is Beauty Keeps Laying Its Sharp Knife Against Me (Logochrysalis 2008).

The cafe has homemade Panini’s and miniature Italian pizzas, hot and cold drinks (espresso drinks, teas, hot chocolate, etc), assorted desserts, plus other cold beverages.
